Ingredients
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
- 3 tbsp water
- In large bowl,combine flour,sugar,salt and cocoa powder.
- Add margarine,water, vanilla and eggs and beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
- Add nuts and pour in an 8" greased square pan.
- Bake at 350 ยบ F for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool in pan and cut in squares.
N.B -.There is no baking powder in this recipe.
Variation:
Double Chocolate Brownie: omit nuts and add 3/4 cup chocolate chips to batter.
